EASY CARAMEL FROSTING 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in brown sugar, cook and stir over low heat 2 minutes. Add milk, continue stirring until boiling. Remove from heat. Cool to lukewarm. Pour into small mixer bowl. Add powdered sugar and vanilla while beating on #2 speed. Then beat on #11 speed until spreading consistency or about 2 minutes. You may adjust to spreading consistency with few drops of hot water or more powdered sugar as needed. Spread on cake at once. This is very good on applesauce cake.

I tried this recipe and it was awesome! The only thing I did different was add 4 tbsp. of powdered cocoa to it. My husbands a chocolate freak. It turned out totally great! It had a chocolate and caramel flavor. MMMM YUMMY!
