EASY BISCUITS 
2 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
5 tbsp. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk

Sift together dry ingredients, and cut in the shortening. Stir in the milk. Roll out on a floured cloth or board to 1/2 inch thick. Will make 8 or 10 biscuits. Bake in an 8x8 inch pan for 15 minutes at 425 degrees.
