FRENCH STYLE CHICKEN 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 c. white wine
1 (2 1/2 to 3 lbs.) chicken pieces
1 c. green peppers
3 tomatoes, peeled and quartered

Preheat pot or rangetop heating unit over medium heat for 2 minutes. Melt butter; brown chicken, remove from pot as browned. Saute onion, green pepper and garlic until glossy; remove from heat and place pot on base.

Add tomatoes, chicken and wine to pot, cover; simmer.
