CAFE MEXICANO | |
1 1/2 oz. (1 1/2 sq.) semi-sweet chocolate, broken into pieces 1 c. milk 1 tbsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. almond extract 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. hot strong coffee 2 oz. (1/4 c.) brandy 2 cinnamon sticks (optional) Combine chocolate and milk in small saucepan over low heat and cook gently, stirring constantly, just until chocolate melts and milk is hot but not boiling. Transfer to food processor or blender. Add sugar, almond extract and cinnamon and mix 15 seconds. Fill 2 large mugs 1/2 full with chocolate mixture. Pour enough hot coffee into each mug to almost fill. Add brandy to each and garnish with cinnamon stick, if desired. (Alcohol) Makes 2 servings. |
