MOM'S JAM CAKE 
4 eggs
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. seedless blackberry jam
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time. Beat well. Sift flour, soda and spices together. Add to butter and sugar mixture, alternately with buttermilk. Add jam last, beating only enough to mix well.

Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350°F.
