POP UP PIZZA | |
1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef 1 c. chopped onion 1 clove garlic, minced 1 can or jar pizza sauce Any additional pizza toppings you like - Canadian bacon, pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, etc. 16 oz. grated Mozzarella cheese POPOVER BATTER: 1 c. milk 1 tbsp. oil 2 eggs 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese Bake at 400 degrees. Brown ground beef. Add onion, garlic and pizza sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes. Pour hot meat mixture into bottom of ungreased 9x13 pan. Put on favorite toppings, then Mozzarella cheese. Popover batter: Combine milk, oil and eggs. Bake 1 minute. Add flour and salt. Beat 2 minutes. Pour over meat mixture in pan. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until puffed and a deep golden brown. Serves 6-8. |
