CHOW-CHOW 
1 gal. green tomatoes
6 lg. bell peppers
Hot peppers (to taste)
6 lg. onions
2 tbsp. pickling spice
1/2 gal. vinegar
1 cabbage
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. turmeric
3-5 c. sugar

Cook 1 1/2 hours and pack in sterilized jars.
