GRANDMA'S CHERRY COFFEE CAKE | |
1 c. butter 1 3/4 c. sugar 4 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. almond extract 3 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 can cherry pie filling Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, flavorings, flour, baking powder, and salt; mix together well. Take out a generous cup of the batter and set aside. Spread remaining batter on a large jelly roll pan. Spoon cherries on top. Spoon the reserved cup of batter over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Mix together a desired amount of powdered sugar and water. Drizzle over top. |
