CINNAMON ROLLS 
1/2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. salt
2 pkgs. yeast
1 egg

FILLING:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. melted butter
2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix ingredients until well blended. Add 2 cups warm water and enough flour to make dough firm enough to knead (6 to 7 cups). Mix well and knead about 5 minutes. Set dough in warm place, cover and allow to rise to double its bulk. Remove dough from bowl and roll with rolling pin until about 1/2 inch thick. Spread filling on dough sheet, roll and slice into rolls about 1 inch thick. Place rolls in greased pan; let rise about 1 hour. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove rolls from oven and frost with powdered sugar frosting (small amount of water added to powdered sugar).
