CORN FLAKE COOKIES 
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. vegetable shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. corn flakes
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. shredded coconut

Sift flour; measure. Add soda, salt and baking powder; sift again. Cream shortening; add sugars gradually; beat until light. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and creamed mixture. Add coconut and corn flakes.

Drop in small teaspoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet, 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until delicately browned.
