BANANA BREAD 
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 large or 3 small very ripe bananas, mashed
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream Crisco and sugar well. Add eggs and beat. Sift dry ingredients together. Add this a little at a time while beating the egg mixture. Add bananas and nuts.

Bake in greased, slightly floured loaf pan at 350°F for about 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.

Makes one loaf.
