SOURDOUGH BREAD OR BISCUITS 
1 c. starter
1/3 c. milk
1 or 2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. melted shortening
1 heaping tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 1/2 c. flour to stiffen (about)

Mix all liquid ingredients, then add dry ingredients. Mix well, knead a few times in the bowl and then put in greased pan or make rolls. Let rise 20 to 30 minutes. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
