GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
6 med. potatoes, boiled with jackets
1 c. water
1/3 c. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. celery seed
6 slices bacon, cut fine
3/4 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. flour
1/3 c. sugar
Dash of pepper

Cook bacon until slightly brown. Add onions and fry slowly about 5 minutes. Add flour, then water, vinegar, sugar and salt. Cook dressing until slightly thick. Slice potatoes, then pour dressing over and mix thoroughly. Return to pan and keep warm. It can be served cold also.
