GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
10 lb. potatoes
1-1 1/2 lb. bacon
4-6 onions, chopped
1 env. onion soup mix
1 c. red wine vinegar
1-1 1/2 c. brown sugar
Garlic salt or garlic powder to taste
Salt & pepper to taste

Cook washed potatoes with skins on. Cool and cut into small cubes. Dice and saute bacon until just crisp. Remove bacon from pan and saute chopped onions, until soft. Add onion soup mix, sugar, vinegar and simmer. Add bacon, salt, pepper and garlic, if desired. Add bacon-onion mixture to potatoes and stir. Serve warm. Enough for a crowd!
