1 gallon cukes, slice but do not peel
1 onion, sliced
2 c. sugar
2 c. white vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 tbsp. canning salt

Mix all ingredients and stir the cold syrup until sugar is dissolved. Pour over cukes. Store in cold place.
