FRUIT CAKE COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 slices candied pineapple, cut up
1/2 lb. candied cherries, cut up
1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, chopped
1/2 lb. white raisins
2 c. nuts (your choice)

Cream together sugar, eggs, and shortening. Add flour and cinnamon; then fruits and nuts. Roll into small balls. Place on well-greased cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of glass. Bake at 300 degrees for 15 minutes. Yield: 60.
