HAMBURGER SOUP | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 (16 oz.) tomatoes, cut up 2 med. chopped onions 2 med. carrots, sliced 2 stalks celery, chopped 1/2 c. rice 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 1-2 tsp. paprika 1 tbsp. beef bouillon granules 2 tsp. seasoned salt 1 tsp. dried basil 1 bay leaf 3 med. potatoes, peeled, finely chopped Cook ground beef until browned. Drain off fat. Stir in remaining ingredients and 5 cups water. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add potatoes and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove bay leaf. Serves 6. |
