FRUIT CAKE 
2 c. Brazil nuts, cut into chunks
1 c. pecans, lg. pieces
1 (7 1/4 oz.) pkg. dates, quartered
1 c. dark raisins
1 c. light raisins
1 c. drained maraschino cherries
3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine nuts, dates, raisins and cherries. Sift flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder over mixture. Blend in using hands to mix. Beat eggs until frothy. Add vanilla. Pour over fruit mixture and combine, again mixing with hands. Bake in a greased 9 x 5 x 2 inch pan in a slow oven (up to 300 degrees) for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
