TOMATO CASSEROLE 
4 tomatoes
1/3 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sweet basil
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. celery
1/2 c. green pepper, strips
1/4 c. chopped onions
1 c. seasoned stuffing mix or croutons
2 tsp. sugar

Melt butter; add seasonings. Saute celery, green pepper, onions over medium heat uncovered until crisp tender. Add stuffing or croutons toss with fork. Add tomatoes and sugar; toss gently. Cover and cook until tomatoes are hot but firm.
