BRAN-PRUNE QUICK BREAD 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. Raisin Bran
3/4 c. chopped prunes
1 c. milk
1/3 c. shortening, melted
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg, beaten slightly

Mix first 4 ingredients. Stir in cereal and prunes; set aside. Combine milk, shortening, molasses and egg. Add to flour mixture; stir until moistened.

Pour into greased 9x5 loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan and finish cooling on rack.

NOTE: For easier slicing, store bread overnight wrapped in plastic wrap or aluminum foil.
