BAKING POWDER BISCUIT MIX 
9 c. flour
1/2 c. baking powder
1 tbsp. salt
2 c. shortening

Mix dry ingredients, blend in shortening with pastry blender.

For biscuits: use 2 cups mix and 1/2 cup milk. Stir with fork until blended. Can be baked in cake pan and cut into squares, or baked in muffin tins. Bake 15 minutes at 450 degrees. For dumplings, drop by tablespoon in broth, cover for 15 minutes.
