M&M'S® COOKIES
1 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 c. butter, softened*
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. whole M&M'S® plain candies

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Beat sugars and butter in large bowl on medium speed until fluffy, about 5 minutes. Beat in vanilla and eggs; beat in flour, salt and baking soda on low speed. Stir in candies. Drop dough by teaspoon about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with fork.

Bake until edges are light brown, 8 to 11 minutes. Let stand 3 to 4 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.

Cookies made with butter will flatten more and tend to be somewhat darker along the edges, but are more flavorful. Watch carefully to prevent burning.

If you prefer higher cookies that spread less, vegetable shortening may be substituted for the butter, or use half of each. A higher temperature (400°F will help cookies set before spreading).

Great recipe... followed someone's directions and put dough in refrigerator while cookies were cooking; everything turned out sweet and delicious. A Christmas present for the great grandmothers.

They are good. It is hard not to eat half of the dough! I didn't refrigerate them and they turned out fine!

Excellent recipe! I used mini m&m's and mini chocolate chips. They turned out so good. A top if you want a more fluffy cookie is to use a teaspoon when scooping out the dough and leaving in a round shape when cooking. your cookies will turn out perfect!

This is REALLY good. Everyone that tried it thought it was really good. I used sticks of butter. I spread it onto a pizza pan then refrigerated it for 30 minutes. It couldn't have been better!

I accidentally used self rising flour instead of all purpose. I omitted the salt and baking soda and did not refrigerate dough. I also made them a bit large. I baked for 11 minutes and thy turned out perfectly! I was shocked. Not too thick or thin. I also used half butter and half shortening.

 Dawn (New Hampshire) says:
I brought the salt and baking soda up to a tsp each.
If you want chewier cookies try adding a box of pudding mix.. Another good tip is to use a butter/shortening combination.

I use this recipe for all my cookies. I add butterscotch and/or chocolate morsels, all flavors of M&M's, or just plain. This recipe rocks.

I use a scoop (one that you squeeze and it releases the dough) for all my cookies, cupcakes, etc. If you whip it well, set in fridge so the dough is easier to handle, then use a scoop/ spoon to make balls of dough and set each ball on the pan, they don't get all thin. Mine were quite plump. MMMMMmmmmm...

This recipe was amazing! I used unsalted butter when making them and they turned out perfect! They were fluffy & round, not flat at all! Soft on the inside, a little crispy on the outside. My husband said it's the best cookie he's ever tasted! :)

OMG! If you have not tried it you are missing out, these cookies are goood but don't leave them in the oven to long or they will get very hard and not easy to eat, my advise is to do 6 minutes first then put them in for another minute.
