ANISETTE BARS 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. slivered almonds, if desired
4 eggs
1 tbsp. anise oil
1 c. oil

Blend all wet ingredients to dry mixture and mix well. Spread evenly in cookie sheet. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Slice diagonally while still hot in one inch widths. Bake for an additional 10 minutes at 400 degrees or toast in the broiler for a couple seconds.
