GREAT GREAT AUNT LYDIA'S CHEESE CAKE | |
PIE CRUST: 1/4 lb. butter 6 tbsp. sugar 2 eggs 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder FILLING: 1 lb. cream cheese 1 1/2 c. sugar 6 tbsp. flour 4 egg yolks, beaten 3 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 4 egg whites Cream butter for pie crust. Add 6 tablespoons sugar, 2 eggs, flour and baking powder until blended. Spread into a 13"x9"x3" baking pan that has been buttered. To make the filling, cream the cheese until smooth. Add sugar, flour and egg yolks. Add vanilla and milk slowly until cheese is dissolved. Add a pinch of salt to egg white and beat until stiff. Fold into cream cheese until blended. Pour into crust and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake in 350 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes. |
