NEVER FAIL CHOCOLATE SHEET CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. water
2 sticks butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix flour and sugar together and set aside. In saucepan, mix water, butter and cocoa. Cook together and pour over flour mixture, mix well. Add the last 4 ingredients and mix well. Pour into greased sheet cake pan and bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees.

Five minutes before cake is done, using same saucepan, mix 4 tablespoons cocoa, 6 or 7 tablespoons milk, 1 stick butter. Bring to boil and pour over 1 pound powdered sugar and beat well. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 cup chopped nuts and spread over hot cake.
