SWEET-SOUR-RED CABBAGE 
1 onion, chopped
9 c. shredded red cabbage
3 tbsp. vinegar
1 c. water
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. seedless raisins
2 tbsp. butter
1 lg. tart apple, diced
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. caraway seed
1/4 tsp. pepper

Cook onion in butter for about 5 minutes. Add cabbage. Cover and cook another 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for about 10 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
