LAYERED PEANUT BUTTER BARS 
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
6 tbsp. water
1 c. peanut butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl cream butter. Gradually add brown sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Stir in flour, blend well. Lightly press mixture into a 9x13 baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile place chocolate pieces and water in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat stirring occasionally until chocolate pieces are melted. Remove from heat. Remove bars from oven. Spread peanut butter evenly over the top. Spread melted chocolate over peanut butter. Chill until set.
