BUBBLE BREAD | |
2 pkgs. dry yeast 2 c. very warm water 3/4 c. sugar 4 tbsp. oil 2 tsp. salt 6-7 c. flour, sifted 1 stick butter Sugar Cinnamon Sprinkle yeast on water in large mixing bowl. Add sugar, oil, salt and about 3 or 4 cups flour. Beat until well mixed, add more flour, about 1/2 cup at a time. Use a wooden spoon when dough becomes too thick for the mixer. Cover with clean cloth; place in warm place to rise until double in size. Grease a 10" tube pan or bundt pan. Shape dough into 28 small balls. Roll each in melted butter, then in mixture of cinnamon and sugar. Arrange in pan. Sprinkle with any remaining sugar mixture. Let rise until double in size, about 1 hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool for about 5 minutes, remove from pan. |
