MOM'S HEAVENLY SALAD | |
This creation was first presented to me by my beautiful mom, Joanne Estrada who is now deceased... This was always a hit with anyone who ate it. 1 (10 oz.) bag Kraft Jet-Puffed Fun Mallows (miniature marshmallows) 1 (12 oz.) tub Cool Whip 1 (12 oz.) tub dairy sour cream 1 (15 oz.) can fruit cocktail, drained 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks in juice (not crushed or rings) 8 oz. walnut pieces (optional) Combine fruit cocktail (drained) and pineapple (drained) in a large bowl. Combine Cool Whip and dairy sour cream in another bowl then place that mixture in the large bowl. Fold the two mixtures until evenly consistent. Fold in the marshmallows (don't mix too much, this will create mushiness). The walnut pieces may be folded in or sprinkled on top of this heavenly salad. Note: This salad is best when there is time to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours prior to serving. Submitted by: Helene Bazurto |
