SELMA'S BROWNIES | |
1/2 lb. butter 4 sq. unsweetened chocolate 2 c. sugar 4 eggs, slightly beaten 2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. sifted flour (For Passover substitute 3/4 c. potato starch; 1/4 c. Matzah cake flour) Walnuts (optional) Melt butter in top of double boiler or Number 2 (low) in microwave; cool. Add sugar; mix. Add eggs and vanilla; mix. Add flour; mix. Pour into 2 lightly greased 8 inch square pans or 1 lightly greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle nuts on top if you wish. Bake at 350 degrees approximately 20 minutes. Cool before cutting and removing. Passover brownies will be very moist and fudgy. |
