1/2 c. shortening, room temperature
1 lb. powdered sugar, sifted
1/4 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. water
1/4 tsp. almond flavoring
1 1/4 tsp. clear vanilla

Mix sugar and shortening until completely mixed. Add salt, water (1 tablespoon at a time) until icing is of spreading consistency. Add flavorings. Will keep for several days if covered in a plastic container. No need to refrigerate.
