MOCHA TORTE (OR PURE SIN) 
2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. instant coffee
1 1/3 c. water
1 2/3 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. mayonnaise
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
Mocha Frosting (see below)

Grease and flour two 9 inch cake pans. Mix flour and soda. Dissolve instant coffee in water. In large bowl, mix next 3 ingredients until fluffy. Blend in mayonnaise and chocolate. Add flour mixture alternately with coffee. Beat well after each addition. Pour into pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done. Cool 10 minutes in pans. Remove, cool completely. Slice each cake horizontally. Frost with Mocha Frosting.

MOCHA FROSTING:

1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. instant coffee
3 sq. unsweetened chocolate
2/3 c. butter
2 pkg. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2-3 tbsp. milk

Place first 3 ingredients in saucepan. Heat and stir constantly until smooth and thick. Blend butter and 1 package of sugar, tablespoon at a time. Blend in another package of sugar alternately with the chocolate mixture, a tablespoon at a time. Add vanilla. Beat in 2-3 tablespoons milk.

Spread between the split layers and on top. Top with toasted almonds. Serve chilled. 1 billion calories per slice.
