CHICKEN GUMBO 
1 chicken, cut up
4 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. okra, frozen
1 sm. can tomatoes
1/2 c. chopped onions
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper

Place chicken in Dutch oven, add water and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook until tender. Remove chicken and cut from bones, cube meat. Return chicken to broth, add okra, tomatoes, onions, sugar, pepper, celery and green pepper. Cover and simmer until okra is tender about 20 minutes. Rice may be served with Chicken Gumbo or added by choice.
