DEEP DISH APPLE PIE 
8 to 10 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored & sliced
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Deep dish pie plate lined with unbaked pie crust

CRUMB TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
3/4 c. flour

Combine sliced apples, sugar and cinnamon. Mix well to coat apples. Put apples into pie crust. Combine topping ingredients to form a crumb mixture. Sprinkle over the apples. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce oven to 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
