FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1/2 c. oil
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 can fruit cocktail
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix all ingredients, except fruit cocktail together. Then add fruit cocktail. Blend only. Bake in greased and floured 13x9 inch pan at 350 degrees for 30 to 50 minutes. After baking, stab top of cake so topping will seep in. Five minutes before cake is done, make topping.

TOPPING:

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick butter

Bring to boil for 1 1/2 minutes. Pour over warm cake evenly.
