MOM'S CHESS PIE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 tbsp. cornmeal
1 tsp. vinegar
3 eggs, beaten
5 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Cream sugar and butter thoroughly. Mix all other ingredients well. Add to sugar and butter mixture. Pour into pie shell.

Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes; then bake at 325°F for 25 minutes.
