MULLED CIDER 
6 inches (15 cm) stick cinnamon
1 tbsp. (15 ml) each cloves and allspice
12 pieces each lemon and orange peel
2 cardamom pods, pened and separated (optional)
1/2 whole nutmeg
2 qts. (2 l) apple cider
1/2 c. (125 ml) brown sugar

Put all ingredients in large pot. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Place lid on pot and cool 1 hour. Strain spices and serve warm. May be stored in refrigerator and reheated.
