NORWEGIAN APPLE PIE 
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. diced apples

Combine sugar, flour, salt and baking powder, stir well. Beat in egg and vanilla, with whisk or spoon. Stir in nuts and peeled, diced apples. Mixture will become thick; spoon into a buttered pie plate, 8 or 9 inch, and spread evenly.

Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees, serve warm or cold, or plain, or with ice cream or whipped cream.
