CARAMEL POPCORN 
1 c. popping corn (6 c. popped)
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped peanuts (optional)

Pop corn as directed. In saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, syrup and salt. Heat to boiling and cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add baking soda. Stir hot syrup into popped corn and nuts.

NOTE: Oiling or buttering hands to work corn, reduces sticking to hands.

Spread on baking sheet. Bake at 200 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool. Makes 6 quarts.
