SHERRIED BEEF 
3 lb. stew beef, cut in 1 1/2 inch cubes
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
3/4 c. sherry
1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix
Can of mushrooms, if desired

Heat soup. Gradually add sherry. Add onion soup mix. Pour over beef in large casserole. Do not brown beef first. Cover and bake for 3 hours at 325 degrees or cook in a crockpot on low for 8 to 10 hours. Serve with rice or noodles.
