HEARTY VEGETABLE BEEF SOUP 
1 lg. can V-8 juice
1 lg. onion
1/4 small head cabbage
1 lg. can tomatoes, chopped
1 celery stalk, chopped
1/3 c. barley
2 lg. potatoes, diced
1 lg. family size bag of frozen mixed vegetables
4 beef bouillon cubes
2 to 3 lb. beef, cubed in bite size pieces
Salt and pepper to taste

Use a large pot, and put ingredients in pot in order given and fill the rest of the pot with water. Cook slow on medium heat for several hours. Serve with salad and cornbread for complete meal. You can substitute beef cubes with browned and drained sausage or ground beef.
