SOFT RAISIN COOKIE 
1 c. seedless raisins
3/4 c. hot water
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Put soda in hot water and pour over raisins. Cream sugar and butter and add beaten egg. Sift cinnamon, baking powder, salt and flour. Add hot water and raisin mixture to sugar and butter mixture. Stir in dry mixture plus nuts. Bake on greased cookie sheet for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
