GLORIFIED RICE 
1 (13 1/2 oz.) can pineapple tidbits
1 c. rice
3/4 tsp. salt
6 maraschino cherries, diced
1 c. miniature marshmallows
2 c. prepared whipping cream

Drain pineapple, measure syrup, add water to syrup to make 1 1/4 cups; bring to a boil over high heat in a saucepan. Stir in rice and salt, cover, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Add cherries and pineapple. Chill thoroughly. Fold chilled rice mixture and marshmallows into prepared whipped topping. Makes 8 servings.
