LIGHT FRUIT CAKE 
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 eggs
6 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. raisins ea. dark and light
1 jar mixed fruit
1/2 c. walnuts
1 sm. jar maraschino cherries

STEP 1: Simmer raisins in small amount of water about 5 minutes then drain.

STEP 2: Cream sugar and butter, add eggs.

STEP 3: Add alternately liquids and dry ingredients.

STEP 4: Add fruits, nuts, raisins to cake mixture.

STEP 5: Bake in 350 degree oven for 50 minutes.
