MACAROON COOKIES 
2 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. ground almond or Brazil nuts

Beat the egg whites until foamy, but not stiff. Stir in the sugar and salt, then the nuts and drop by teaspoonfuls on a baking sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes in a moderate oven (375 degrees).
