CHERRY CREAM CHEESE TURNOVERS 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. sifted flour
Pinch of salt
1 can cherry pie filling
Confectioners' sugar

Blend the cream cheese and butter in a bowl, then stir in vanilla. Add the flour and salt; mix well. Place in refrigerator for 1 hour. Roll out thin on a floured surface and cut into 2" squares. Place 2 cherries from the pie filling in center of each square. Fold over and seal edges. Bake at 350 degrees on baking sheet for 25 minutes. Cool and dust with confectioners' sugar. Yield: 50 turnovers.
