KRISPIE DATE BALLS 
1 lb. dates, chopped
2 beaten eggs
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. brown sugar
6 c. Rice Krispies
1-2 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. vanilla

In large saucepan mix first 4 ingredients and bring to boil on low heat for 10 minutes. Remove from stove. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well and when cool; roll into 1 1/2 inch balls, roll in confectioners' sugar. Store well in airtight container. Yield: 3-4 dozen.
