CRUSTY COCKTAIL BITES 
1 1/2 c. enriched flour
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tsp. instant minced onion
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/3 to 1/2 c. cold tomato juice
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
4 to 6 drops hot pepper sauce
1/2 lb. sausage links or hot dogs, cut into 1/2 inch pieces

Stir together flour, cheese, onion, and salt. Cut in shortening until pieces are size of small peas. Blend 1/4 cup tomato juice with Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce. Pour all at once into flour mixture and mix lightly. Sprinkle in additional tomato juice until dough sticks together and is quite moist. Lightly flour fingers and cover each piece of sausage with scant tablespoon of dough; shape into balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake in oven on 350 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes or until browned.
