APPLE WALNUT UPSIDE-DOWN PIE
Pastry for 2 crust pie
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
5 c. apples, cored, pared and sliced
2/3 to 1 c. sugar
2 to 3 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. lemon juice from concentrate
1 tsp. cinnamon

Combine brown sugar and butter and spread over bottom of 9 inch pie plate. Sprinkle nuts over sugar mixture. Put bottom crust on top of nuts, but do not press into nut mixture. Combine remaining ingredients and turn into prepared pie plate.

Cover with pastry top, trim crust and seal edges. Roll edges toward center of pie so crust edge does not touch the rim of plate. Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 400 degrees. Let stand 2 minutes; run knife tip around edge of pie plate to loosen pie. Invert onto serving plate.
