SUPER CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIES 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. each baking powder & salt
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, softened
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Baker's semi-sweet chocolate, cut into lg. 1/2" chunks
3/4 c. chopped pecans
4 oz. Baker's semi-sweet chocolate chunks on tops of cookies

1. Mix flour with baking powder and salt; set aside.

2. Beat butter, sugars and vanilla and egg until fluffy. Blend in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate and nuts. Chill dough at least 1 hour to prevent cookies from over spreading during baking.

3. Drop dough 2" apart using heaping tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 2 minutes, remove from sheets and cool. Makes 2 dozen 3" cookies.
